Working Harder to Stay

I want the summer income requirement lifted because I should be choosing my summer activities based on the opportunities available to me, not on what can pay enough to earn me another year at school.
After a difficult year of hard work my freshman year, I realized that unless an internship were to pay - not through a stipend, but through an actual income - I would not be able to apply with the hope of accepting an offer.
I have worked just as hard to get into Yale as every other student, but I feel that I have to work harder to stay, and even then, the opportunities I have are far more limited.
